So I'm often asked how do I choose my own practitioners? 🤷 It can feel hard to know who to go to and why. It can also feel frustrating when you get a referral from a friend and you try it out but don't love it or feel like maybe it's not for you!🫣 This is completely normal and it is an important part of the process. You are learning what you want and need. Many years ago I was given advice that when trying to find a practitioner (chiro, physio, massage, acupuncture the list goes on) to try them out for a few 2-3 treatments, see how you feel, see if you're comfortable with them and ultimately see if you get the results you are looking for. Sometimes you will know after 1 treatment it is not for you and other times you will know immediately you've found what you've been looking for! Over the years I have seen many different practitioners and learned alot about what works for my body and what doesn't. This is how I was introduced to the style of Acupuncture that I practice! I never knew it existed when I started studying, and I'd been to many Acupuncturists by that point. But I was introduced because I was trying out a few options for a health issue that kept lingering longer than I thought it would. Once I felt how it worked I knew it was for me and ultimately this is the same way that I practice now! 👍 So at the end of the day my advice is always that you are in the driver's seat. You make the decisions about your health and what you are needing and it's important that you have practitioners in your life that support the health goals you are working to achieve.✨💪 What advice would you give to someone just starting out looking for their practitioners?
